Will a large amount of contaminants accumulated in ball bearings cause the bearings to become blocked and stick?

If a large amount of pollutants accumulate in ball bearings, it can indeed cause blockage and jamming of the bearings.
When pollutants such as dust, particles, or other foreign objects enter the interior of ball bearings, they may accumulate between the ball and the raceway. These accumulated pollutants will act as abrasives, increasing the friction between the ball and the raceway, leading to increased wear on the bearing surface. At the same time, pollutants may also block the lubricating oil passage, preventing the bearings from receiving sufficient lubrication, which can lead to overheating and jamming faults.
In addition, pollutants may also damage the sealing performance of bearings, making them more susceptible to further invasion by external pollutants, forming a vicious cycle. This continuous pollution and wear can lead to unstable operation of bearings, generating vibration and noise, and in severe cases, even causing complete blockage and jamming of bearings.
